“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen". Isaiah 60:22
There have been instances when all of us have desired a certain place, position, or person; however, rather than waiting for God's timing, we have attempted to go ahead of God's plan out of impatience. But speeding the procedure could cause his plans to be delayed all the more--and we don't even realise it!
Even Jesus, who is God in flesh, submitted to a concealed season of waiting and began his mission after 30 whole years. God doesn't forget about us; He hides us for a reason. Until the route is safe, he keeps us and our attitudes in check. The season that is hidden is not always simple; it may include waiting for some or preparation for the others. But we have to trust that He has a very important reason for keeping us hidden. And it has always been proven that we will not be able to comprehend at the moment but when we look back we will be grateful.
Just to add to the above said, let us dive deep into Joseph's story narrative. He was brought to Egypt as a young child and his family was unaware of his whereabouts. God allowed Joseph to go through trials at Potiphar's house, which led him to prison which then helped him become the Prime Minister to Pharoah. The Lord was with Joseph during his waiting years and the hidden season, and through him, the Lord blessed many people. Joseph had a dream when he was really young about his position of influence, and that dream after many years, became a reality. If Joseph hurried the process even by a bit, he might not have had his position of authority; instead, he relied on God's perfect timing and persevered in the hidden season.
The wilderness season is a secret season to help you prepare for the promise. In fact, it was in the desert that I first met Jesus and felt His love and care. He created room for a new version of me and I got to experience his miracles. It is a journey through both joy and sadness but my encouragement for you would be not to give up and practise patience. A patient spirit will make your waiting period worthwhile at the end. Put all your faith in the Lord, and don't rely on your intellect. Recognise Him in all of your actions, and He will make your pathways clear.
